Many years ago, the Hikanbyke cycling and hiking group in the Bay Area sponsored a Memorial Bench at an East Bay Regional Park to commemorate those friends who are now deceased. Occasionally we have a group hike and/or bike ride to the bench to remember those friends. But anyone is welcome to visit at any time.
We want to thank Joanne, our Hikanbyke historian, who puts together photos and stories so we can reminisce about good times over the past years with our Hikanbyke friends. If you are aware of anyone who is not on this Memorial List, please send the information to Joanne L. or one of the Hikanbyke Coordinators listed in the newsletter. We will add them to our list.
This webpage is dedicated to all past Hikanbyke members who have passed away. We will never forget the happy times we all had together hiking, biking, and all the various activities listed in the Newsletter. Also, let's not forget the special memories we had at our annual picnic & holiday parties.
May you all RIP...we think of you often.

Andrea & I (Ed Myers) were in the north bay today (July 25, 2018) and decided to find Hikanbyke's Memorial Bench. Having never visited it, I wasn't quite sure where it was. I knew that Joanne and Charlie were out of town, so I decided to call Rebecca. She was so gracious in helping us out and sent us the directions on how to find it.

These photos were taken over a period of a few visits. Namely April 2011, June 22, 2013 & April 28, 2018.
